We live, work, and practice yoga on Wurundjeri land.

We see land itself as a living entity that supports and nourishes us.

Yoga comes from a land called India. Much of our learning has taken place in Mysuru. “Mysore” is an anglicized name for Mysuru that is falling out of fashion as collective consciousness grows around the loss of traditional languages and culture. We are still using the word Mysore because it has become synonymous with a particular method of teaching yoga where students are taught individually in a group setting.

We encourage a slow, thoughtful, and eyes-wide-open approach to learning yoga and believe it is important to learn about the culture and context from which it comes. Like all things, people, ideas, and practices like yoga evolve. Stay curious. Keep learning and growing. Be conscious.
