Winter Solstice Retreat at Summer House, Torquay 28-30 June 2024

I am told that undersold this retreat!

Summer House was even nicer than we expected - beautifully furnished, warm and cozy, with so many sweet spots and extra comforts. And the private yoga studio (not pictured) was perfect for our needs. We were so peaceful and focused in its clutch.

One thing I didn’t emphasise properly was how special it would be to have our very own in-house chef making meals. In fact we all ate too much because the food was too good. (I think next time we’ll just have brunch and dinner).

Nicole came down and provided Ayurvedic Kanza face massages to group participants - I could feel the bliss radiating off of the lucky recipients.

I led a restorative yoga session for arriving guests, read poetry about the solstice and about darkness, facilitated morning Ashtanga yoga practice, and kept things organised so the group could relax.

For me, the highlights of the weekend were the wonderful group of humans that gathered, participating in Annie’s Yin yoga session on Saturday night (and Mandi’s visit!), our guided nature walk with Brett on Saturday, and the magic ocean of alms led by Jordan Sunday morning (I tear up thinking of it).

Thank you so much for coming! I can’t wait to plan the next one. :)
