Our first Practice Boost day includes the following:
Brief attention to integrity in the form of practicing saying mantras, asana names, and counting.
Discussion of self-care for Ashtanga Yoga practitioners - particularly in regards to seasonal change.
Introduction to kriyas including nauli and neti and, most importantly, discussion of their appropriate use. Amanda will demonstrate - hope you aren’t squeamish.
A break for fun tea tasting and community hangs.
An introduction to oil bath. Learn how to do it and why you might choose to.
And Amanda will lead the group in a restorative yoga sequence – which can be used for rest, relaxation, illness, menstruation.
If we have enough time left, we will also practice basic pranayamas.
